When to decandle JBP (various states)

I have read countless times (watched vids) and re-read the whole deal about developing JBP pines.
While I have an idea, i thought I'd just go direct and ask away.
Since I have already needle plucked, I am noticing the elongation of the candles. I even start to see what appears to be the needles starting to come through. I even notice what looks like candles growing on top of another candle? This cant be right or can it?
I'd like to find out when people generally decandle their JBP? What stage does the new needle look like as you wait till the optimum time in your zone
VIC (i live here)
NSW?
QLD?
NT?
WA?
SA?
TAS?

Do not do any work to a tree based on times. Do it when needed.
See grants thread on JBP Study here
viewtopic.php?f=131&t=17981
there is so much conflicting info out there, grant is trying to quantify it with our help.
also check the wiki it has lots of info and some great links to threads describing when and how

It also depends on how small you want your second flush of needles.

One of the biggest factors that I know of. They do it later for shohin and earlier for larger trees in Japan.
As Ken stated, it's about learning the technique AND its implications and then having the good sense to work out what you need from each individual tree, and what the tree needs from you!
Cheers,
Mo
