Twin trunk oak

Thought I would start a progression on this tree. It was collected in July last year. It powered on and got pruned twice as it was going crazy after the really hot weather we got earlier this year. Anyway I decided it was time to do something with it.

Sorry I forgot to take pictures of it after it put on growth and also forgot before I worked on it. Here it is now.

Now it will sit and recover. Comments/thoughts are welcome.

Josh, I can see where you are going with this. I am looking forward to watching this thread. I love the view of the 2nd last picture. How thick are the bases of the 2 trunks?
Now, don't take this the wrong way, but if you look at the last picture Josh, that is deadset an unflattering picture of a frog, that has fallen into wet cement, and has died with his legs sticking up.

Hi Josh , nice progression so far , the oaks up here are slow to open new leaves however the acorns are growing everywhere . Don't worry about the frog legs , someone call my Mt Fuji a frog leg
