newbie juniper progression

Hi guys thought id post my stick in a pot. Got this juniper nana (I think) about a year ago then syled it a couple months back an now going well. First photos when got it

That will make a good bonsai in time mate.
Let it grow then reduce. Repeat.
Good typical informal upright design.

I love the modesty when you have four years experience, and consider yourself still a beginner. Actually like me too, with 5 years in bonsai. You have done some great styling to your bonsai. So I reckon you are going very well in the right direction.

Nice work. Love the the pics. I tend to forget to do this, you think after 30+ years I'd learn. Sammy are you a pincher or a scissor clipper?

What works for me, is that the initial foliage shaping is with scissors and then refinement by pinching which is just after the fresh foliage start to come through. Then let is grow til the next season

forgot to mention don't forget to foliate feed your juni. Most important a must do

Ok cheers for the advice. Atm use worm juice. Free what you recommend for foliage spray.

Juniper growing well. Gets a weekly dose of thrive mixed with worm juice. Slightly stronger than full strenght dose never allowed to dry between watering. Will need a big cut back soon. Is it too late in the summer or will it be okay? Anyway here is a pic

Gave my juni a revamp today as was getting a little out of control. Took a lot of foliage off but is was extremely healthy so dont think it will care too much.

Cute on both counts
only thing to me is the straight section in the new "front view"
sorta kinda sticks out as an obvious fault. Be nice to get a bend or curve in that section if you can.

still have the that obvious fault in the the middle but hey too late to bend now. Only a beginner so bending old obvious faults is hard for me without snapping the branch. Maybe in years to come
