For those of you who love Wisteria

Post by Jester »

Hi guys, I saw this article about the Great wisteria blossom in Ashikaga Tochigi, Japan. The tree is 140 years old and has a diameter of 1990 square metres. The smell must be excuisite. I never new such a large specimen existed. When you go to the page, scroll down and then enlarge. Quite difficult to see what's going on at normal size.

It's big...I've been there! There are many of them there. Every year they have a festival there for the flowering season with Taiko (Japanese Drumming) groups performing in the middle of all of the Wisterias. Fun times!
