Yes Inspired, I just chain sawed these off an old Bougie I was cleaning up, no foliage, no branches, all of this has been grown since they were cut approx 2 yrs ago, maybe a tad more but you get the drift.( see posting called " the serpent ", yeh, I know, corny, but ya' gotta call 'em somethin') all of these cuttings were cut off this
Put them in my bonsai mix which is similar to a lot already posted on this site of Diatomite, Scoria and pine bark.
let 'em go and have now carved etc,
Good luck

Why choose, I get inside them (watch the thorns) choose a branch and cut it out.
I have a few more of these not posted yet, but 100% success in terms of them "taking" it took about 6-8 weeks but they haven't let me down

My dad has caught the bougy addiction now, he is constantly slowing down in front of peoples houses looking for potential digs. He's got a lot more gumption than me to ask people about their trees, only a matter of time before he starts asking people if they want their "terribly annoying thorny ugly bush removed for free".

Just an update on the second bougie of this series, photo 10,11,12
Still not bad for a stump chain-sawed off less than three years ago.
