Bonsai inspirations from recent trip

My wife and I recently spent 6 weeks travelling through Canada, the Pacific North West of USA and California. I've attached a few of the several hundred photos I took of trees: Individual trees, groves of trees and trees in the landscape. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and I'll post a few more if people would like me to.
My favorite tree of the entire trip: the venerable Sugar Pine.

Lovely trees and thanks for posting.
Collecting some of them would be a real challenge! but I am sure alpine might give it a go

Hi ToddB , Mate there is some magnificent inspiration in those pics . I have collected a few Redwoods and Douglas Firs from up here

. Not quite as big as those Monsters ,but the stands here where very impressive for 100 year old tree's

. I think it would be easier to build a pot or tray around them and call them Super size Mountain Bonsai

.

Hi ToddB , Mate there is some magnificent inspiration in those pics . I have collected a few Redwoods and Douglas Firs from up here

. I think it would be easier to build a pot or tray around them and call them Super size Yamadori Mountain Bonsai

We do mate...
Auracaria, Agathis, Athrotaxus, Calitris, Podocarpus...to name a few genera.
