Bonsai Tracking Software

There was an interesting thread here that dealt with tablet/phone apps for tracking bonsai. Whilst I do have a smartphone, I'm more old school and prefer DSLR cameras and desktop computers with big screens. I also run Linux on all my puters so that adds another level of complication. In looking for software to look after my budding bonsai endeavors I came across a Linux package called Zim.
Zim doesn't have a clue about bonsai; its prime focus is on creating Wikis. But hey, isn't a wiki just another database? Perhaps a bonsai database?
The attached image is a screen grab of my Zim "bonsai/garden management system". By way of explanation:
I believe Zim is also available for Windows O/Ss.

- All trees are numbered according to the julian date of purchase/receipt. An alpha suffix is added if more than one plant obtained the same day. Some (most) trees also get a name.
I limit the size of images within Zim to 100px on the short axis, however all images can be opened full size within Zim.
I believe Zim is also available for Windows O/Ss.
