Their was varying opinions ( including my own ) on the variety Leptospermum I had entered in the Shohin. It was agreed that until it flowered it was not an easy task.

Well it has 2 flowers on it and one has opened. Using the internet and my books I have been able to ID it as, "Aphrodite" a cultivar of L.spectabile.

Regards,

Peter

Yes I remember the discussions. I did NOT think this would be the outcome. You have got to be happy with that! Congratulations Peter. Beautiful tree, again.

Thanks for the comments,

Although the flowers are about the size of a twenty cent piece the leaves a small. This cultivar was found and developed at the Bywong nursery ,not far from Canberra.
