Hey guys, just thought I'd share this I dug up a conifer, I think Smaragd or similar?, because we are going to pull them out this summer anyway. This one was only about 1.8m tall. I did it mainly for fun, and a test. I have heard you shouldn't cut back more than50% of a conifers foliage, so this is more than that. So we'll see what happens. Hopefully out takes off, no harm if it doesn't.

Hmmm, its a 50- 50 chance if it will live. Excellent aftercare is the secret for it surviving.

Yeah its had a good dose of seasol, and its up to day 3 with no weeping or anything yet, so so far so good. i kept alot of the feed roots in intact to try and limit the root ball cut, only cut out the really hard solid roots that wouldnt conform to the new pot. I was actually going to air layer one for fun for later possibly binding to some dead wood since the branches are long and mold-able. When i was browsing for a branch to use for that i noticed this one was quite a bit smaller than the rest, and i had a spare pot, so i thought why not
Seems the weather is in my favor this week too, not too hot, no burning sun to cook it, just nice mild days and alot of light
