Hi Guys, some time ago, I have created a post asking people if they could identify the flower which I have re-posted below. Unfortunately I did'nt get an answer , nor did I get an answer on a couple of other forums. Well the good news is, I found the name and I can't believe what a simple one it is. It is Prunus Armeniaca (The Apricot) !!! The tree is in my street and I have taken some cuttings. Will keep you posted.

Gotta love these flowers!!

Great, thanks for the name jester. Ive been scouring my trees to find the right pieces for aereal layering, so while we are on the subject, dose any one know if its a good time to do the AL or should i wait till the leaves are out. I read AL can be done at any time of the year, but wondered if it applies to fruit trees also. Cheers, Petra!

Great work Jester :)
You could also be right too. which you are. Prunus can also be struck from 5mm cuttings also.
Ala John.Y. Naka. I have done it and if your min temps can be controlled so they retain heat like in a styrene box you should not have any trouble.

Pup :)
You will also note the lack of emoticons :P

No you are spot on Brett, it is the standard fruiting arpicot but unfortunately , from what the people who live next to it say, the apricots have been getting ravaged by fruit fly before they have time to ripen.
