Have some time at home over this Christmas break, nice to be off the road.
So getting some time to do some light pruning and general TLC of the crop.
So to keep the forum busy, pretty much going to post every tree I have as I work on them over the next little while.
Apologies in advance as to the quality of some but I am hoping the forum will open up and give suggestions for the future of these trees, my own plans aside for now.
This project started as suggested about 10 years ago, spent some time being completely covered in dirt sunk into a pot.
The main branches all used to stick up as straight as telegraph poles (which I hated) so began wiring them done in the fashion of the old figs, still lots of work to go but the base is a cracker, just my opinion.
FRONT (just as it sits in the pot today)

Hi Watty,

My preference would be for the last image to be the main 'front' and to continue to train branches to match it and with branches that arch and hand low you can keep the visual focus on the lower portion including the rock and roots. As there are many attractive points in the root system and rock from many angles, I would also make sure it was trained to be appealing from multiple angles. See a note on wiring I am putting on your tamarind post.

cheers

Ash

I actually really like the back...the way the roots crisscross the rock...perhaps turn the tree 180 degrees.

Love the root work. Agree with boom when the canopy fills in it'll be a stunner!
