Cedrus atlantica (weeping form) – worth trying?

Hi Everyone,

I have an Atlantic cedar 'Glauca pendula' that I will be repotting into a half wine barrel; it's sitting at about 5 ft and I would like to keep it potted for mobility. However, I was wondering why you don't see many of the weeping forms as bonsais, or have I not been looking hard enough? Methinks it may have something to do with droopy branches obscuring the all important trunk of the tree(?).

Thoughts or suggestions?

If the trunk has movement and taper and you did not obscure it I think it would be worth a try.
