present from my cousins baby farm lol

Hey all i recieved these from my cousin whos property has a baby factory of banksia. These were removed due to clearing some land before the recent bushfire could any body help identify what kind of banksia ? Any advice welcome also regards corey

I do not know all the western banksias but those leaves look a lot like B. grandis - Bull banksia. However I don't think your cousin actually 'saved' these ones. B. grandis naturally recovers after fires. That's what the swollen lignotuber at the base is for. At least it is a common species so not endangered by your 'saving'.
I have no idea how that species transplant but most of our eastern species cope well with root prune in warmer months so now is the best time. Also I believe that species that regenerate after fires transplant better than the ones that can't regenerate.
Big leaves might make it a bit difficult as bonsai though.

Thanks for the reply these had to removed anyways as he was clearing bushfire risky land so i can understand his thinking i hope to keep them going
