Can anyone tell me about these Chinese or Japanese pots?

Hi all,

I recently bought a large number of pots from a deceased estate on gumtree and amongst them were two very small Japanese or Chinese pots. They have stamps on the undersides and appear to have red or green colour swirled into the clay itself. I haven't seen anything like them and I was hoping someone could tell me where they come from and how such an interesting effect is produced.
