would like to identify this

I bought this specimen as a small seedling about two years from a bonsai nursery in northern Melbourne and I would like to know what it is. There was single a tray of them in the greenhouse amongst the small pot belly figs that I had originally gone in to buy, but there was no identification tags or labels. Can anyone help me out with identifying exactly what it is and where it might originate from?

Hi there
Looks like little ruby fig. I'm not sure of the origin though.

Regards

Yes it's a Little Ruby which is a variation of the Port Jackson fig.

Sorry, I didn't mean to take a name so close to yours... I was kind of surprised when I registered and the system let me have it, because I was sure that someone would have probably taken it already... Guess I was right!

Thanks! The little ruby pictures that I've managed to find online look a lot like the specimen that I have on my growing rack... It's good to finally know what it is that I've been growing for the last few years!
