Welcome to the fold.
There's a link to the directory down the bottom of the page that should give you the locations of nurseries and clubs and stuff. I'm from the east coast so I can't really help you out.

G'Day Barr,
Have only had dealings with Peter at the Bonsai Emporium (mainly because it was near where I lived) - I haven't had the opportunity to seek out the others as yet.
But they are a bit of a drive from your home... so you may have to call them and make a day trip or weekend of it. Sure you won't regret it!
Welcome, enjoy. It won't happen over night, but it will happen. When advised to join a club - I'd take the advice; I'm in Port Hedland and no clubs near by so I'm learning BY my mistakes!!! It's hard and painful...

G'day Barra, you've definately found the best place to start, this forum provides a wealth of knowledge and life times of experience. Don't hesitate to ask or show your prospective material ect.don't think there's a club down your way or you might be too busy to commit so what I do is follow this forum pretty much daily! Also posted here are up and comming events and shows which is where you will see some of the finest trees on display and meet the artists too. Well worth the drive once or twice a year. They always have a sales area too. Look foward to your future posts.

Don't know how you managed that, as your post show you are in Qld, and they claim that they cannot ship out of State. I have never sought to ask why but then I would like to see decent Bonsai for sale first.
