Juniper chinensis - Seargeants Juniper Upright progression

A few years ago i purchased this young tree from Ray to develop as a more upright Juniper than my Shohin sized compressed specimens.

I do not have a pic of before starting but the first is when cleaned out and wired initially in 2012.
This week i removed a few branches from the inside of bends etc and re wired the trunk. the apex was compressed a little more and reduced.
Apex branching was wired out and all branches were wired to the tips and brought in closer.

I like a taller more elegant tree so hope one day in the near future it will have filled out nicely.

I am sure the comment,
all branches were wired to the tips and brought in closer.
will confuse some to these are closeups of the wired terminal branching and how they are bent to bring them in closer to the trunk.

Many of these smaller branches will develop shoots and then the longer branch can be removed if needed :-)
