During my morning walk, I couldn't help but be humbled by the Grandeur of the Bush.
I like nothing better than spending an hour or so in it tranquility.

I like the idea of doing a strangler fig bonsai. Len Webber tried with dead wood (root over wood) but suggested that using a live host would be better. (Root over Tree)
I have tried a root over tree. I used what I call a hackberry as a host. It is going good but I wonder what i will do come the winter frost? As I usually bring my figs inside for winter.

bring it in to a garage as long as theres no heating they will both be happy.

I might even try the shade house. Thanks for unfreezing the brain

Great post Jon! I'm going to try to replicate the "squiggles" on one of my bonsai gums. Hmmm... Dremel, scalpel or pin?
