Sometimes Bonsai can be emotional and stirring when you are designing and creating a tree, and sometimes not so much. Here are a few examples of the affected Juni's i am trying to pull through and some that have gone already. They all have the beginning, or end result, of this nasty disease. I am annoyed as it is lost work, but you have to suck it up as loss is as much a part of the journey as are your success's. Oh well onto the next project.

My condolences, what pain to have loved and lost and to be losing yet more of our most precious time and hard efforts.

Life is such, that we may show gratitude toward that which we have, and that we may, through means most devious, utilise the opportunity of sympathy (from the better half of us) to fill the empty void on our benches two fold.

In all seriousness though, shame to see them gone. But this is why I dislike the Pingii's. Not sure if Procumbens has the same issue, I only have one that will be grafted with new foliage this year and it's never had much of an issue.

Have you tried a copper based fungicide to prevent spread/occurrence? I hear this is what is used. Nasty stuff though.

I think your last cascade has a good future. Do you think it would be possible to compress the large bend any further?

Seriously though, I feel for you. Such a shame.

Its a funny thing how some people deal with the loss of aged stock. In the past, I have lost some magnificent old Huon Pines, of which I thought were the jewels of my work. I would nightly admire them. But when I had to concede that they were gone, it was simply a matter of moving along to the next jewel.

Though, with conifers that loss of love is easier to endure, as it is a slow gradual realisation that death has come, because you have had to slowly deal with this realization over a month or so. Unlike other species that reveal their true death much sooner.
