I'm just laughing at the fact you have a ski lift chair as a seat. Well played sir, well played.

It's going to be a cold night tonight forecast -8 . Today the temp hovered just above 0 . Still plenty of snow on the ground tonight  , it will freeze solid by the morning .

Was the birdcage to protect a fruiting tree from the local critters, or purely aesthetic? I like it either way.

Cheers,
Pearcy.

Very cool Sno.

Yes, very icy cold outbreak to whet everyone's appetite for next weekends snow season opening!

Doesn't look like any decent follow up events on the horizon unfortunately but will kick along snowmaking areas no doubt.

Here's a photo of my figs (early days ,figs grow slowly up here  ) and other stuff (succulents and cacti ) warming up in the morning sunshine in our sun room with the snow outside .

Hi Pearcy . The birdcage is to keep blackbirds out because they rip up the moss around the trees , also in spring when I get a late frost I place a sheet over it to protect the new growth from frost burn . The pot in the photo is a Ginko forest in its early days .

Steven . Great sculptures , if only I had the talent to weld like that ,one day maybe .

Boics . It's back country for me this year . I've gotta mate who is keen to teach me cross country skiing . Hopefully the El Niño pattern developing will make what moisture comes into snow rather than rain .
Cheers Sno

This photo was taken a few weeks ago , it's on another thread but I thought I would put it on this thread too .

The dam freezes nearly every year for a while , some years the ice will be 15 cms thick .

Last night we had a bit of wind .

The table is made from an aluminum checker plate sheet on top of some railway sleepers . It's a little bit dented but held up . The bonsai tree has had a bit of a restyle , it lost a few branches . Luckily the pot is only a cheapy .
