Thanks for those photos, Petra.
To everyone: the Collection has changed a lot since Petra's visit. Trees that were on loan have gone back to their owners, and Grant Bowie has just returned with 10 new, fabulous bonsai from Vic. and SA. The Collection is closed now, until Friday 11th September, i.e. the start of Floriade, and will be closed again for two weeks after Floriade, i.e. from Monday 12th October until Sunday, 25th October. I hope to see the new exhibition soon and will post new photos. I won't forget your babes, Aaron.
If you have a chance to come down to see Floriade (
http://www.floriadeaustralia.com/?247SEM ) and the National Collection, both in Commonwealth Park, don't miss it. Hope to see some of you there!

Well, moronic it may be, but oxy it wasn't. If you mean my statement that I hoped to see the new trees soon, while saying that the Collection is closed, I should perhaps have explained that I can sneak in when the gate gets unlocked to let in the volunteers who do all the prep. work for the Floriade opening. And there's a lot of it!!
