Segretia thezans

Needing advice on segretia theezans
Have had this for a while now and it has survived our very hot summer and cold winters in Melbourne
Just the last 2 weeks it has flowered and have let it be
Asking how to improve or to promote more back budding have tried before and with only a very small amount of new growth
Seems to be sprouting more at the tips then the back after a light prune ( as a tested prune)
Have read it can be inside ??? Have also put it on a humidity tray ??
Have a front patio that gets more light than inside and can be out of the cold
Help needed please
