Satsuki Chojuho - Progression

A few years ago I purchased this Azalea in the silent auction at Bonsai By the harbour.
it has gorgeous small flowers that start out Pale green and then fade to Red ( or is it the other way around
). It also flowers most of the time from spring through to Autumn which is unusual.
It has been repotted into Kanuma and has been growing nicely while I try to decide the eventual design of the tree. I have had numerous ideas and this week due to other developments, I have to make a decission about its future.
It will be potted up later in the year into a smaller pot, and in doing so will need to be much smaller than it is now. In preparation for that, I decided to layer off the top so I do not lose the bulk of that growth.
The tree will develop over the next year or so hopefully
Not the usual time to Airlayer Azaleas, but as my garden is very sunny and warm in winter, I can put them on now in order to get a good headstart in spring.
