Some Red pine action

A small Red about 18 years from seed. Trunk diameter just above the roots is about 70mm
It was ground grown for a bit and established in the pot for 2 years.
A nice nebari and a resonable trunk movement I think.
After removing some unwanted branches
After removing old needles and cutting the new ones in half. (Not standard practice but it helps me visualise where it's going)
The main branch wired and the onlt thing I could do with the front branch was to bend it hard back towards the trunk to reduce some of it's length. (red pines are VERY brittle. They snap without any warning!)
I used what was left to arrange a new apex and some back branches
A new pot for the bare bones.
And a refreshing drink after all the trauma
Always keep your work area nice and neat so you can find everything!
