Large Timber Tray

I was inspired to make this after watching a Japanology video on Bonsai via youtube. The programme showed a image of the first penjiin gift from China to Japan with featured simliar tray. Just lifting it feels so much better/safer than lifting such a large tray 1500mm x 700mm without handles. I'll make a chunky stand for it and eagerly wait for spring where I'll do a saikei with a large Banksia serrata. Timber is bluegum and recycled bluegum floorboards.

Looking awesome!
Can't see exactly but are there slits between the floor boards or do you need to drill holes still?

I should have said decking boards not floorboards i.e. no tongue & groove. Each board has 3mm-5mm space between and sit on a 25mm rail screwed to each side/end. I left gaps at joins and corners where rails meet sides to improve drainage and aeration for the timbers longevity. On top of the boards will go a loose fitting layer of polystyrene (brocolli case lids) before a layer of coarse scoria in all gaps and corners.
