P.S. What Camera and settings do you use Ken?
I believe that your shots continually demonstrate that a nice Bokeh/depth of field shot can make up for "busy" less plain backgrounds.

Are your little Trees a little flat? They all seem to need batteries!

Thansk Elmar, Note they are "eneloops" so are rechargeable and thus my trees are Never flat

@Boics, These are at F11 and 1/180-250 th second. I shoot in aperture priority mostly to get the tree in focus but as you mentioned the background blurred to minimise the distraction. Sometimes use even wider aperture but that can get parts of the tree out of focus too.
If I setup my sheet background so i do not have to blurr it, I will shoot @ smaller aperture and thus longer exposure on a tripod.

I think the fig sitting on the lip of the crescent moon pot bothers me. I feel it would look so much better just angled up a little bit more.

How the *&^% do you manage to keep that integrifolia alive in that size. That is amazing. I thought it was just an elm, and skipped to the next, then read the caption and my mind went....boom!

Easy to keep banksia,
Pot into diatomite mix and water 2 times daily in summer. Keep in semi shade and very every week or 3 with power feed and Charlie carp.
Let the new shoots extend to the second pair, then cut Back to the first pair as they are tiny
This is one of 3 I have and are all airlayers

Re the privet, I have no idea where I got it from. I suspect it was self sown

I will play with the angle of the fig in time as this is the first time in a bonsai container

The first 2 are Cheap Chinese glazed pots and the rest are Mudlark pottery (Penny Davis) pots.
she has crates of littlies she sells at $10 for 4 of them. I usually pick up a few of them to use for minis or kusamono pots.
the Scoop is a bit more though

That's OK, I'm not yet ready to appreciate the 'Scoop'.

Going to have to have a look at Mudlarks then... Seems littlies tend to create a 'hording' mentality!

You have some great little trees in your collection Ken (I'm not just talking about the ones in this thread).

Can I ask if most are taken from airlayers, or grown from cuttings/seed? Some of your Mame that you have posted from your collection have great trunks and I'm guessing are layered then trunk chopped for taper? I want to get my hands on some mini's of my own!
