This is my sqatty that sat in a pot from a purchase 3 or 4 years ago and was all bushy and growing outta control.
I now has been re potted into it's new home now for about 8 months and I started styling it about 6 weeks ago.
Rock is concrete that had naturally growing moss.
I wanted to keep it high in the pot as it was busting out of the soil in it original black plastic.
Where i actually got it from I have brain fade as the 'snake like twists are not my doing although I'm not going to interrupt the trunk.
I did reduce it's long forward leader and chipped back the back hopefully ending it's vertical climb.

Re potted into a smaller pot I found in November 2015 and is doing far better now since re potting from much larger moss infested rectangular Garden world Pot..( This pot has been recycled..that will be interesting later on)
Roots are growing well and veins along trunk have grown out well with very healthy budding in pads..Not everyone's cup of tea as twisty but it's doing all the right things as far as growth,vitality etc and helps me gauge fertilizing and watering for the rest of the clan.

Did a bit of the on going maintenance that goes with Squamata all too regularly.
Tweezers onto the old needles..removing wiring and slicing back callous along the main trunk.
Callous removal was done as threatening closure along the trunk line was getting close.
The tree is very healthy so I'd imagine as I have had no problems so far apart from height restriction it will bounce back with little or no stress.
So 'Stanley knife and tweezers' all go plus a bit of a weeding my job so far.

I'm wondering if you could get some raffia onto some of the branches and trunk and potentially both:
* reduce height
* twist and turn the branches closer to the trunk.
I think this could improve the appearance - I'm also interested as to what your preferred front is?
The Nebari is quite nice for Juniper.

Was thinking about wrapping the truck but thought it might be too late..I guess it's really never too late.
The branches I'm happy to give hard twisting as I light wired them down for the angles and should of tweaked them hard straight away.
A job for tomorrow..see where it ends.

This is my preferred front Boics..open for opinion.

Did a bit of tweaking on it today.
Shortened branches with new wiring and brought them in closer to the trunk.
Thought about Boics raffia wrapping but I have gone too long with the dead wood 'shari' and gave it a twist and thought 'Noooooooo' this is going to crack.

Noted re. Deadwood/Shari - check out some threads where this is used to good effect.
You are the one that ultimately needs to make the educated guess.
I've watched professionals fail this time and time again.
(Crack or snap!).

Maybe something a little more dynamic if you like.All the parts are there.

The pic of mine is the back you have used and I do see where you sending me.
The bigger/longer branches would accommodate you art work for sure..
