Always wanted to try an Almond. The flowers are very beautiful. Unfortunately most of the ones I've seen these days are budded onto peach..which is short lived.

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date with this one.
I grew one after seeing your thread so I hope in 10 years or so I get an almond.

Update on this one. I had to do an emergency repot mid to late summer. The extra shallow pot did not treat it well and it started dropping all its leaves. I think that the pot had trouble draining so waterlogged it. Then at the same time on a hot day it would cook :palm: Anyway after the report it held onto the rest of its leaves and even threatened to shoot in Autumn. I was concerned how it would shoot come July but i should not have worried. There are more flowers on it this year than ever. Very happy with its health. I am of the feeling that something drastic will have to happen in the style soon as I'm not overly happy with that aspect of the tree. Anyway ill sort that later. For now ill enjoy the flowers.

Great tree you have there. How often do you repot your tree and when is the best time to do it?

Generally report every 2 years in late June. By mid July flower buds are already threatening to open. First tree on my bench to wake up for spring followed by the ash.
