Just when I think I'm starting to get Bonsai, I makes a major f$&@ up on a tree.

Not usually. And most people don't admit to it.

Take consolation in the fact that for every great bonsai tree you see there a dozen if not more dead ones.

I'm guessing you either cut a branch off that you regret or root pruned the wrong time. We've all been there. But in future, research for a bit before you work on $$$ or old stock

Yep. You wouldn't be human if you didn't. So come on, what's the big #$@*&% up. You can't leave us c wondering

Found this gem in an old Newsletter from the Goulburn Bonsai Society.

After you have successfully created several Bonsai, don’t be afraid to work on more difficult stock. To become proficient the loss of an occasional tree is not too great, but the experience and knowledge gained are.

Where'd you get the white pine from?

That sucks. Seal the break and wrap it in raffia and come back in a few weeks to see if it survived?
