Hi Guys what we have here is a red pine that was long and lanky lean healthy growth growing straight up with long gaps between foliage at the time as I didn't have a red pine in the collection at the time,so for its value and some ideas I had,I took a punt.The progression shows my intent to bend it over in years and to move it sideways,I would eventually get it to the right height and then build the head and the arm for more interest and lucky to have a sacrifice to give just enough width at the bottom with another couple of seasons of tweaking,I think it could be a handy tree...cheers Anthony

I love red pines. Probably more than black! They have that elegant movement you just don't get in black pines. Yours will be a nice tree soon. What I would say about it is perhaps try to keep the falling branch from getting any heavier and keep the foliage areas light and open?

Thanks Bodhi,unfortunately it didn't take, roots were coming but my inexperience in letting it get too wet with weather and me watering cost me,shame really as I put some nice bends top and bottom,on the upside but it put fat on the trunk,appreciate the feed back Bodhi...cheers
