Fusing pine roots?

Hi guys

I used to be active on this forum a few years ago, but then I stopped bonsai-ing due to space restrictions, but I want to get back into it now.

I remember that a member on this forum posted a tutorial on how to get roots of several pine seedlings to fuse, and that could be later taken out
of the soil and could become a thick trunk.

I have been trying to find this tutorial, but I can't seem to find it any longer. Does anyone know anything about this topic or remembers the post?
I am guessing it is still on the forum somewhere? Te post was likely from around 2010 if I remember well.

Thanks for any help

Regards

Alex
