Defolition of Ficus

They look awesome pup. Do you use the new soft buds to replace the larger branches every couple of seasons?

Looking good Pup. I noticed your branchletts are nice and short. When you "defoliate" do cut just the leaves off or do you shorten the branchletts??

Like all pruning procedures, if it is needed shorten them and wire them. Just watch the wire at this time of year as the growth will be rampant.

Cheers Pup. I "defoliated" 1 mine on Sunday. I'm hoping it shoots nice and low so I can shorten things up a bit.
