I saw that too! Shame they didn't spend some coin on a great tree to go inside it.

You would be shocked to know that it cost $35,000 and only one in Melbourne but you can order another one.
And the tree inside is a fairly simple unhealthy looking Juniper as well that looks like your regular $100 Juniper you can purchase at any Bonsai Nursery as well.

who the heck spends $35,000 on a tree tank? Why not buy 7 $5,000 trees and have them on a weekly rotation? 1 week inside, 6 weeks outside...

Hi Bonsai Paludarium,
Looks like a Japanese White Pine to me?

The one in the picture is definitely not the tree in the Melbourne restaurant BK.
The picture you see on here is off the the company website that makes the tanks and does have a nice Pine in it.
The one in the Melbourne restaurant is the same type of tank that is pictured here, but there is a cheap Juniper in it.
Hope that clarifies it.
Cheers,
Pearcy.

Hi Pearcy001,
Thanks for the clarification, I was going by the picture posted here, not apparently the one that you have actually seen.
