Atlantic Cedar to Trim or Not

Hi,

I am looking for some experienced opinions on what to do with this young Atlantic Cedar.

I have read they are very slow to grow, if I had some earth to plant it in I would, it is in an oversized pot for now though.

As they are supposedly hard to take to wiring I would like to try shape it just through pruning, should I leave all the branches on and just pinch the new growth to help thicken it up a bit or could some minor pruning and shaping be beneficial to have it grow more to my liking?

Cheers

Chris.

Get some wire on it, these are the best trees to learn to have fun bending & twisting, they're very flexible. Of course still trim off what you don't need. They do rebound if you take the wire off and leave, but just put more wire on and bend more. Leave clip n grow for deciduous :imo:
