Back in winter I made my first pot under the guidance of an expert potter . Thanks Graham . There is a lot that goes into making a pot and until you make one you don't quite realize the process involved . It helps if you have a mentor and someone that does the hard stuff ie the firing . When it came to the question of what feet to put on my pot I was unsure and decided to do them later. While walking the dog I have picked up assorted bits of wood . The great thing about having no feet is I can always change or mix it up a bit. .

I made this pot for a snow gum that I've been growing in an old garden sieve for the last 5 years . While the tree has still a way to go to fill this pot i think it will be a good combination . Thanks for the comments guys .

I love to see people learning the art, and understanding what goes into making a pot.
I am teaching one of our clubs members at present and he was surprised at how much time and effort goes into making a pot

I really like the "feet"!

So much more rustic than the usual display stands and I think it will fit in well with a native, especially a gum like you have mentioned.

As Eucalyptus and other similar genus regularly drop limbs, using them as feet really does inspire the vision of these trees in nature, where the ground surrounding the tree is littered by fallen limbs that have aged simultaneously with the tree that shed them.

Oh, and congrats on the pot too It is a stunner!
