Went to my nice's 13th birthday party on the weekend and had a look around at my brothers plants. I remember he told me that he had olives that were annoying him and kept coming back after a cull. He said that they were growing from the neighbors olive root coming through the fence. Sounded like no chance of finding a good one if that was the case but i had a look anyway. Anyway found this gem amongst the crap. It looked a lot different when collected but after some major chops i think it has loads of potential. Comment on your thoughts would be welcome. Here are some photos of the olive.

Always hard to tell from photos but I think I like your "back" as the front view, whichever you go with the tree has some nice taper, once it has grown out a bit (and budded lower) I would think about reducing that top branch to keep it flowing.

I agree. For me the back will be the front. To big scars on that "front". Whatever its a beautiful find. Nice movement and taper. Is it a African olive?

No fredman i think it has the bigger leaves. Still should be ok i hope

Good find! Can I ask why you seal with wood glue? Is it from personal experience being better or just availability?

Just cheap and seals ok. Also put it on branches i snap trying to bend which seems to save most. Normally dont put anything on cuts but it may help buds shoot closer to the cut so worth a go

I think its good stock and should develop over the coming months. Don't rush it and you will have something very presentable soon.
