Stumbled across this little guy at the beach this morning. Most of us would struggle to grow such a great bonsai! Super healthy masses of fibrous roots, a trunk of at least 100mm with a height of no more than 500mm and loads of healthy branches full of fresh growth. Amazing that it can survive there at all let alone be so healthy. I have considered collecting it all morning, one minute I think yep why shouldn't I, then the next I think no I should just appreciate it for what it is and let it be...... What a struggle[FACE WITH STUCK-OUT TONGUE AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]

Yeah they are tough as mate. Love growing near the sea spray. Those roots will be into every crevice under those rocks. Best I think is to leave it if you're not sure about getting enough fine roots.

Yeah I like the idea of leaving it where it is, I'll go back one day without the family and spend some time getting some better pics.
