Bench constructed, now what micro sprayers.

Have the main bench built, just have to do the bamboo screening and more importantly, the irrigation system.
The shelves are 2.4m by 400mm wide and I only want sprayers installed at the rear only on both shelfs.

Thinking on a 1/2 circle downward sprayer if they exist with maybe 3-4 over the 2.4m shelf.
What's an ideal high for the poles and and other thoughts & ideals or other things I need to take into account...

You need to consider the wind when putting sprayers in. I would recommend drippers instead - run some 13mm or 19mm along the front of the top shelf and use 4mm for each dripper. I have seen Ken use bonsai wire to position them on the soil. Sprays look good but drippers are the best way to water :2c:

I agree with Bougy on the drippers, although I added in a couple of 180 degree micro sprayers to get some extra coverage/humidity. Not sure how much better it works with both rather then just drippers (if at all), but there is something comforting in having the sprayers going and everything looking well wet afterwards! In summer I run two 5 minute cycles a day. Bigger specimens can have up to three drippers, particularly if the pot is wide/shallow.

I reckon sprayers are the go. Drippers only water under the drip and with substrates they do not wet the entire pot

On my temp bench, I found the adjustable drippers were not cutting it, the single sprayers I whacked in watered 1.5m all over on the lower bench....

Ended up putting 2 * 1/2 half circle and 2 * 1/4 circle sprayes on each bench.
I used some bonsai wire to angle the sprayer and ever sprayer pole has a inline tap to adjust or switch off the sprayer..
The whole bench gets aa good soaking with this setup, if I ever get or grow a big tree, it's easy enough to install a dripper line or install more poles..

The whole setup, still needs a tidy up and large bamboo screen backdrop.

Pipe installed for sprayer pole on the back of bench.

The sprayer poles with bonsai wire angling the sprayer, still have to zip tag the dripper line to the pole to tidy up.

I like these benches might do the same.

Overall very happy with it.
Cheap to construct and should last a long time.
So far, I haven't found anything I would've want to change....

Quite nice actually, and takes a lot of the construction out of it.
