G'day everyone,

I'm pleased to announce the details for the 3rd annual AusBonsai Market Day.
For sale on the day will be old bonsai collections including some very high quality trees at realistic prices, pot collections, handmade pots, stands, pre-bonsai, starter stock, suiseki and MORE. Already we have 12 sales tables booked!

Date: Sunday 20th March 2016
Time: 10:00am to 2:00pm (no buyers will be permitted into the sales area prior to 10am)
Where: Auburn Community Picnic Area: Killeen Street, Auburn (400 mtrs from Auburn Japanese Garden) Google Map Link
Parking for over 70 vehicles is available immediately adjacent to the undercover venue.
Bathroom facilities are available for all.
There will again be a mobile coffee van selling hot and cold beverages.

Spaces are limited so if you would like to register your interest please contact steven@ausbonsai.com.au for details, costs and to secure your place.
Sellers will be able to drive right up to the sale area for easy unloading etc and snacks, lunch and refreshments will be provided for sellers on the day.

I'd really appreciate if you could share the following poster with your Clubs and get the info into some newsletters etc.

We now have 15 sales tables booked and there are some very exciting things being put up for sale!

Looking forward to it. Last year was great, good to talk to all the faces I met and had a good day with my kids.

18 sales tables confirmed so far so it's looking like it will be a full house again this year

The Market Day is promoted on page 12 of the March Gardening Australia magazine if anyone has it

20 sales tables confirmed now including a couple of very high quality collections that are being downsized. There will be some great tree's for sale!

Yes please, that'll get the hype going!

On the day I will be selling a number of different types of items including turntables, Japanese shohin pots, copper and aluminium wire and for the first time at Ausbonsai Sales Day I will also be selling MASAKUNI tools. I have just unpacked, checked and priced a box of these beautiful Japanese tools that we have been using at the arboretum for a while now and have found them to be excellent.

The feel in the hand of some of them has to be appreciated so I have a set of tools that can be viewed and held.

I will post photos of some items over the next few days.

I have also been asked to bring some of the 32 1974 Japanese Black Pines that I have been intensively working for the last 2 years.They have been restored to excellent health, and have very short needles and some of them are in very good old Tokoname pots.

If anyone who will be attending on Sunday has any specific requests for anything that you are after it would be a good idea to post your specifications in this thread. The 21 stall holders can then check their collections and bring along anything suitable for you.
If you would prefer, you can PM me your requirements and I'll pass it on to the sellers.

I'll be on the lookout for pines and natives in the refinement stages although I'm sure there will be plenty of both.

Anything exotic of interest won't be out of the question either.

Bringing a couple of stock plants and about 10 bonsai half to one season off show development. Also bringing fine Japanese shohin pots, handmade pots from Mirkwood, Mudlark and Selby and a large older tray pot from Tongrae [Korea].

I'll be looking for some azalea, cherry blossom & wysteria. Either pre bonsai or in development. And some cheep wire [WHITE SMILING FACE]
