shohin junipers
Hey guys im doing a lazy saturday so i thought id share a couple of shohin junipers for you to see. Last 12 months ive really moved into shohin and have alot of shohin figs, elms, olives and a few junipers. The larger shimpaku is 17cm tall while the little semi cascade is around 6cm.

Nice ones Noah. However there is always one. The semi cascade the pot is way too big wrong shape and it should be planted more central.
Not looking like it is falling out of the pot. If it was potted more central then the pot might work .

Please do not take this critique of your tree the wrong way it is intended to be constuctive.

pup, i agree totally. It was the only pot i had small enough at the time. im looking for a more suitable pot atm. Opinions always welcomed. I dont get alot of people looking at my trees up here so you dont always see the faults looking at them yourself all the time.

Thanks Ant. i did not start this tree, i aquired it from a member here and repotted it into a more suitable pot and thinned it alittle. I have a nicer twin trunk shimpaku simular dimensiions im just chasing a better pot for. Pics to follow soon if i get the right pot.

I must confess that whilst your Junipers are nice, I am not really into that particular tree. However, would love to see some of your Shohin figs if you get time to post them

Although the top right hand one is excellent. I feel the top left hand one is much more interesting. It is this one that I would admire for long periods. Nice acquisitions Noah. Your collection is inspiring.

each to their own mate.Some people love xxxx beer, me i think its poison Ill get some pics up soon of some figs 4 you. i might add it to a shohin thread as i have elms, olive ,privet as well

About 4X and poison....isnt there a well documented article about a certain Allan Bond and 4X ---- which ultimately lead to the same result as poison

I dont reckon your Junipers, or anyones for that matter fall into that CAN"".

But as for beauty, show me a naked fig anyday
(or an Azalea)

Thanks brett and yes thats a new mate added to my collection. it was in a cheap over size glazed pot and just a canopy when i bought. some branch selection , wiring, thining , a nicer pot and its come up well i think , budding back strongly already. It has fantastic movement which ill try to take a side shot of and not bad trunk width for its size. a couple of jins need work down the track.
