Hi all
When is the best time to root prune
Does it recover well from this and also from some drying out ?

My mel incana got a bit dry earlier in the summer. It was looking pretty sad but started growing again after better watering. Not sure how far you can push the dry though.

Like most natives I repot in late sprung and early summer. Mel incana grows back well after root pruning in warm weather.
I have not tried pruning back to bare wood with this one yet.

Thanks heaps i gave it a root prune and prune on the green water and seasol and same a week later will keep it in shade for a month or so before taking it to a brighter area as for my other natives it seems the warmer months are working well so far with the same technique as stated above ones looking a little ordinary but seems to bounce back even after the sun has had its way on it fingers crossed
