hey don port jackson it is im not sure of its true botanical name.
started 18 yrs ago from a pencil thin cutting. never been in the ground.

Nice work, love the PJ fig. You have some nice trees amongst your club Ant. Must be a good club to be involved with.

steven thanks for the feedback;
to the pj i can add that it stands at approx 28"
radiata pine is approx 36" tall, thats all i know on that one.
the hornbean recently changed hands and is in its first phase of restyle. its approx 22" tall.
and thats all i have for you.

peter the fig i posted especially for you and jon. visiting demonstrators (lee wilson, grant bowie and don deluca) always comment that some of the best trees in the country are at bonsai northwest inc. again let me say these are just the tip of the iceberg. sorry im having one of those warm and fuzzy moments, proud to be a member of and in the company of some serious cats.

If those three are any indication, then I would say that rumours are correct. I would say that one could learn a great deal from a club like that.

thanks jon, i have recently been invited to some private gardens where i was absolutely gob smacked in time hopefuly i can convince these guys to get active here and show us exactly what australian bonsai is all about.

Got you then Tony. Latin name will be Ficus rubiginosa I love it, pity its not a hardy variety. Thanks.
PS I apologise for not noticing your indication of the varieties at the very top

no need for any appology don. i guess growing ficus there would be like pushing it up hill. unless you get a setup like jerry mieslek. now wouldn't that be cool.

No warm. I do have a couple of figs - Benjamina and Retusa but they have to come inside for the winter months.

I keep coming back for another look at that radiata - It is superb in my opinion and would have to be up there with the best in Australia.
