Is now a good time to collect?

Yep they are all ripening up here

I think it is still a bit early here. Wait until the seeds start to turn brown. If you can, wait until they start to fall off cause that's when they are definitely ready.

Too early to collect in Melbourne another 6-8 weeks.

Just checked our local dog park approx 30 Chinese Elms none are ready for seed collection.

I have plenty around my house that are starting to brown up already/

Its a bit cooler in Melbourne. All seeds were green, as a general rule, I don't normally collect seeds till April.
