Looking good Thyme.
Just out of querie as I haven't worked much with conifers (at all, ever... haha) Why did you take the wire off now? I would have thought it is best to leave it on as long as possible in order for the branches to thicken and set, especially going into winter? I'm just wondering is all.
Cheers,
Pearcy.

It might be growing strongly with the wire cutting in heavily. It's been pretty warm lately too

Thanks for the comments guys!
I was concerned about the wire cutting in after such a good growing season, so I whipped it off. The branches have set just the way I wanted them, so I'll leave it off for a good while now to let the tree recover and fill out a bit. I want the branches on the left to fatten up so I can jin them and tease the other branches over for a windswept style...but I'm not in a hurry!
