Hello, I picked this guy up thinking it was a F. nerifolia, but now I'm not too sure. What do you think? (I won't be disappointed either way )

Maybe something likes this in 25 yrs lol

They can get quite big with time, just not in the same time frame as PJ

Yeah, I'm in it for the long haul. He would be in the ground, but I'm not sure how he'll manage with winter on its way, so I'm just gonna plant it out in spring

Yes it will do wonders if put it in the ground.

What you could do in the mean time is rough wire it ,here is a line sketch how to go about it,portions shorter as we rise,keep it simple couple of bends and thats it... front view
Side view... ideally front goes away from viewer,second part not as much and top section comes back over centre or just in front..of course this ideal on three part trunk ,your call of course.

Now if you go to Jerry Meislik blog site there is care notes for how I handle this stuff,little different to normal fig,more like pines in some areas ...promote the tip, bring inside/inner growth with with it.

Something like this..there is plenty of ways to do this,this is one way....cheers Anthony
