Hardly used any wires on this one. I'm trying to keep a more primitive wild look.
Just brought down a few branches with guy wires. 's in full bud and ready to flower....

Images appear really poor quality for me Mike. Can you upload a larger file?

***EDIT*** Never mind. When I open it through Tapatalk it's poor quality. When I select follow link it is fine.

Cheers,
Pearcy.

Mathew, it's prunus incisa Fuji or mountain cherry. Small tree, flowers any time from autumn to through winter or later.
One of the easier cherries for bonsai. This one was a layering. They layer easily and also cuttings root without difficulty.

Gorgeous Mike! It looks amazing in flower

Do these need to be cut back hard after flower? From the photo the buds look like they are only on the new growth?? Great nebari for a layer by the way, It must have been a while ago now.

Have you considered a brighter pot at all? hopefully the flowers last a while for you!

Cheers,
Pearcy.

Hi Mike,

That is a good looking tree & something for my smaller Okame to aspire too.

Good to see you back, I missed your candidness.
