blue spruce

hi everyone
here is another old tree(roughly 60 years) that i have for the last 13 years. it was restyled 4-5 years ago with remaking the existing first right hand branch brought up to be the trunk. and the rest of the tree had a air layer attempted at half way up the trunk to make two trees out of it. the air layer failed and it was put on my work bench again to be re-designed.
i didn't want to just use the bottom half or the without it to make the tree. so this is what i came up with, if you look closely, there are three trunks on this tree. a bit weird and unusual i know, but i like it. it measures at 85cm in height.

Nice work Tien, there are a few unusual / unconventional things happening here! This will only serve to make it interesting, people will stop for a closer look.

Having several 'trunks' may not be as unusual as many think. I was surprised when Hiro styled my Shimpaku viewtopic.php?f=25&t=18163&hilit=+shimpaku with 5 apexes.
He was very definite that it should have 5 apexes even though the branches start well up the trunk. that makes me think that this may be more common in Japanese styling than we have been led to believe.

I certainly like the changes you have made to that spruce.

Great work Tien, it already invokes a nice natural feeling of a grand old tree! Cant wait to see this one progress.

It took me a little while to adjust to the first right hand Apex, and i still have not made up my mind, but i like the tree a lot. Nice work.

Hi David
The only difference is colour and cost. The silver one is straight aluminum wire, where as the brown one is anodized with copper colour. The silver one is $10 less per kilo.

any particular reason for all three apex's mirroring each other?
