brought this little fella in march as tube stock cost $3.50, height from top of pot 210mm,
I am new to bonsai but what the hey! I'll have a crack.

planted it into a large growing pot about a month ago with a flat rock under the root base, for some reason my plants grow like crazy when I do this, and by coincidence it was the first tree out of all my figs to wake up out of its winter slumber, thrown out a couple of new leaves in the last two weeks and the new tip is doubling in size. the plan is to just let it grow for the next couple of months before I do anything drastic.

Well if found out the hard way that ficus macrophilla probably isn't the best species for shohin considering the size of these leaves any way i'll plod along
