Thought I better have at least one entry in the comp and thought why not use this little thing that is growing in my front yard. In the last pic you can see it right at the bottom on the tree.

No mention of plants currently growing in the ground in the rule so this may or may not qualify.

I'm not in it to win it, just in it to learn a bit.

Sure does qualify.

Looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Here is the update on this little Banksia. Still in the ground, done nothing to it apart from a light pruning (just now).

Nice little curve in the trunk, beyond that not much thought given to it.

When it warms up a bit I'll get it out and see what I can do with it. The way the weather is at the moment, I can't ever see it warming up again. Just some sun would be nice!

This one is growing away happily!

Would love some advice on when to pull it out of the ground! It's easily accessible so I can wait for the best timing if that timing isn't now!

Ok, bit the bullet and dug this one out today.

Not impressed with what I found and was probably a little too hard on the root reduction, although some may say not hard enough!

If I can go harder, let me know and I'll pull it out and go again :)

If the pics are upside down, turn your head 180 degrees in the vertical plane, or lock your smart device screen and turn it 180 degrees :)

Have a great Sunday

I would cut most of the foliage off to give it a better chance of survival.

I hear if you cut roots, leave foliage or the opposite, cut foliage, leave roots?!

Which one is it? I did take off 5 or six branches that were running away, refer earlier pic!

This one held on and held on then gave up :(. Please withdraw this entry.

Oh well. I get lots of seedlings popping up under the parent tree, and I've potted a few up. They are all growing well!

Maybe I should have removed more foliage as per your advice Bougy!
