This guy was 1.5 metres tall until 2 months ago when I accidently dropped a cupboard onto it.
• Species name: Banksia sp. (I'm not sure what species)
• Original height of stock: 40cm
• Where you obtained it from: garden plant
• Cost of stock: $0 - probably cost about $16 from the shed a few years ago

Nothing much could be done with this over winter. I have wired down most of the upright branches. New shots are just appearing.

Some of that wire appears to be "cutting in" so you might want to check it?

Hey thanks Watto you have a keen eye! Yes wire was beginning to bite, it is all off now. I have learnt something, branches can swell as buds begin to show and before leaves grow.
This prompted me to check my plums (not those ones, I mean trees), and after two weeks wire has already done its work and could come off. Thanks again Watto.

I'm not sure about this variety/species it throws long shoots that don't have leaves low down. It might stay as a garden plant.
